Museum café Het Pomphuis

Museum café Het Pomphuis is located at one of the most beautiful places in the city, on the Kleine der A. In this area you can view many beautiful buildings with a big historical value for Groningen.

The city café is on the ground floor where you can have a drink, lunch or entire meal. Sit down on the terrace with a magnificent view on the canal and enjoy a delicious espresso. On the first floor you will find the restaurant with a view over the A.

At Het Pomphuis they use fresh and local ingredients to serve the tastiest dishes, from their own vegetable garden and from local farmers.

The Pomphuis is part of the Maritime Museum. The building was built in 1872 as a pump house for the city center sewer system, later it was used as a transformer house and pump house for the fire brigade.
