Noor

Officially located in Hoogkerk, on the outskirts of the city of Groningen, stands the Theresiachapel, formerly a small Catholic church. Nowadays, no more masses are held here, but rather culinary masterpieces are served. Restaurant Noor has been awarded a Michelin star, scored 16.5 out of 20 in the GaultMillau guide, and ranked 38th in the 2024 Lekker Top 100 list of the best restaurants in the Netherlands.

 The owners and chefs, Jeroen and Marleen Brouwer, met during their culinary training, gained experience in various Michelin-starred restaurants, and operated their own hotel and restaurant in Drenthe, which also received a Michelin star and was listed in the top 100 restaurants in the Netherlands. In 2022, they opened Restaurant Noor. Here, the chefs express their creative style, described in the Michelin guide as "exuberant," "meticulous," and "adventurous." 

If you want to experience these flavors yourself, you can book a Menu Noor, a six-course menu that takes you on a true culinary journey. Additionally, the restaurant offers the shorter Market Menu, with three or four courses. This changes daily, depending on what is available in the market. Finally, a vegetarian menu is available upon request, and you can, of course, reserve wine or non-alcoholic pairings with the menu. 

Restaurant Noor is open for reservations on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 18:30 to 00:00, on Saturday from 12:00 to 16:30 for lunch, and from 18:30 to 00:00 for dinner.
