Craving a delicious burger? Opposite the A-Kerk, near the fish market, is the place to be! Here you'll find Wereldburgers, where you can enjoy a qualitatively good and responsible meal in a cozy atmosphere.

The name Wereldburgers is a play on words that refers to the responsible entrepreneurship of this burger place, founded by former teacher Jakob Wanige. The meat comes from the local organic butcher De Groene Weg, and the buns are from baker Rob van Dijk. Other products also come from the local area; for example, the potatoes for the homemade fries come directly from Groningen farmers.

Although it may seem like there is limited choice in the restaurant, which mainly serves burgers with fries and salad, the variety of burgers is substantial. You can choose from no less than 18 different burgers, including beef, lamb, chicken, or pork, and even 5 vegan options. The restaurant also has a beer menu for a matching beer on tap. Other drink options include smoothies, wine (also available by the bottle), and the usual hot and cold beverages.

 The restaurant is open every day from 13:00 to 21:30. If you want to enjoy the menu from your own room, you can do that too. Wereldburgers offers delivery and pickup options from 16:30 to 21:00 via their own website or through Thuisbezorgd and Uber Eats.
