Mr. Mofongo

Are you walking past the academy building through Broerstraat or along Oude Boteringestraat and hear lively music and chatter? There's a good chance it's coming from Mr. Mofongo. Here, you can embark on a culinary journey around the world through a diverse menu with innovative elements. 

The journey begins on the ground floor, where in the restaurant or on the terrace, during lunch or dinner, you can enjoy a menu that doesn't specialize in one cuisine but combines flavors from all over the world. Fancy an Italian appetizer, Caribbean ribs as a main course, and a Japanese dessert? It's possible here.

 If you venture upstairs, you'll find the cocktail bar, located in a distillery no less. Thanks to this unique setup, you can witness the entire process yourself. Oh, and your cocktails, in addition to knowledge and passion, are made possible by a robot arm. In the distillery, you can also enjoy small dishes with your cocktail and even purchase distilled drinks to take home. 

Not done with your exploration? Take an expedition to the attic of Mr. Mofongo. In this characteristically designed space, you can try more than a hundred wines by the glass! This is once again possible through an innovative system that allows wine to be poured without removing the cork. This way, you don't have to buy the whole bottle when discovering a specific, unopened wine. Matching dishes are also served here.
