The MARKT! Festival Groningen 2025 is coming up! On Sunday, May 25th, 2025, the fourth edition will take place at the Stadspark in Groningen. What to expect? A lively festival filled with stacks of vintage clothing, retro treasures, crates full of vinyl records, handmade jewelry, antique furniture — and an amazing atmosphere.

Shopping & Atmosphere

MARKT! is a creative and diverse festival market, divided into several themed sections. You’ll find everything from rare books and seventies gadgets to unique foods. It feels like one of Europe’s iconic vintage markets — but right here in Groningen.

Live Music & Entertainment

Between shopping sessions, enjoy live performances and DJ sets. The vibe is laid-back, inspiring, and welcoming. You can even play a friendly game on one of the jeu de boules courts.

Kids Activities

There’s plenty to do for the little ones! Children up to 16 years enter for free. They can enjoy bouncy castles, an obstacle course, and a creative craft zone. Decorate your own tote bag, make bracelets, get a glitter tattoo, or plant garden cress in your own painted pot. All activities are free!

Food Court & Terraces

The cozy food court features vintage-style terraces and trendy food trucks offering a delicious mix of street food: hearty burgers, churros, Indonesian soul food, and flatbreads with chicken. A perfect spot to relax and recharge.

At the entrance and food court, you can pay by card or cash. Most market stalls accept cash only, although some vendors also accept card payments.

Accessibility & Parking

The Drafbaan is easily accessible by public transport. Plan your journey at 9292.nl.
Coming by car? Take the A7 towards Drachten and exit at Stadspark / Martini Hospital. Follow signs for Stadspark and the festival. Parking is available at the Drafbaan for €3.00 per car. Be aware of roadworks around the ring road and check your route on groningenbereikbaar.nl.
On foot or by bike? Take Paterswoldseweg and turn onto Concourslaan. After about 200 meters, the entrance is on your left. Bicycle racks are available near the entrance.
