Buurman en Buurman may not sound very Italian, but for a delicious Neapolitan-style pizza, you have come to the right place! In Groningen, you can enjoy their simple but effective menu with artisanal pizzas at two locations.
The original concept of an 'eatshop' with a large wood oven to prepare pizzas in an old-fashioned way started in Amsterdam, where the first Buurman en Buurman pizzeria was established (of course, by two former neighbors). Meanwhile, Groningen has two branches. One on Rodeweg 6, right next to Noorderplantsoen, and the other at Friesestraatweg 41.
Both branches offer almost the same pizzas, but the Rodeweg branch has two extra vegan options. The Rodeweg Location is only closed on Mondays. Buurman en Buurman on Friesestraatweg is only closed on Tuesdays. Aside from that, these cozy pizza places are open from 17:00 to 22:00.
