Tasty Traditions

In recent years, many new homes have been built around the Friese Straatweg. Along with this development come new amenities. One of these is café, patisserie, and take-out shop Tasty Traditions. 

Tasty Traditions emerged from Ukraine Food, a restaurant on Kerklaan founded by the three Ukrainian women Iryna, Kateryna, and Valentyna. Like the restaurant, Tasty Traditions focuses on Ukrainian delicacies, but here the emphasis is on cakes, pastries, and take-out meals. It functions both as a take-out shop and a place to enjoy food on-site. You can stop by for breakfast from 10:00 am, lunch from 12:00 pm, or dinner to go from 4:00 pm. Additionally, delivery services are available. There's a wide selection for those interested in trying traditional Ukrainian cuisine. 

In addition to providing tasty treats, the two branches of Ukraine Food also serve a social purpose. They serve as meeting places and provide employment opportunities for Ukrainians in Groningen. Part of the proceeds are donated to organizations supporting Ukraine. 

Tasty Traditions is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.
