Synagogue Groningen

In Folkingestraat, the current synagogue was built in 1906 for the growing Jewish community in the city. After World War II, the community was tragically too small to maintain the building. Following various uses, the synagogue was renovated in the late '70s of the last century. It has since become a special place for culture and education.

The synagogue features a permanent exhibition on Judaism and its history in the city of Groningen. Additionally, there are changing exhibitions and displays. Lectures are also held, concerts and performances take place, and tours are possible.
