NYE parties in Groningen

Prepare yourself in advance because the big New Year's Eve party is coming soon. And then of course you must have tickets for the best parties in Groningen.

The dark months have already begun. The R is back in the month and so there are more Dutch sayings!
Need light and freedom in this dark period? Then go to one of the flashy parties when you put on your dancing shoes.
Would you rather take it a bit easier? Then you can also start the festive countdown on the Grote Markt near the Christmas tree.

By the way, from December 6 the city will become a bit brighter because the municipality and entrepreneurs will put their shop windows in the Christmas spirit! It will remain pleasant in the city of Groningen until January 7.

• NYE Party at EM2
  • Where? EM2, 10pm-6am
    EM2 and Pushin Wood are organizing a NYE party together again this year. There will be different areas with various performances. It promises to be an evening with lots of champagne and good-vibe music to kick off the year. The tickets are only available offline from the Jongens van Hemmes.

    Let's end 2023 with a banger of an edition and your 2024 couldn't start better. Dance into the new year to the most swinging Salsa, Reggaeton, Merengue, Bachata and other sultry Caribbean tunes!

  • Where? Dot from 9 p.m
    What are your plans for New Years Eve?! Last year the tickets sold out quickly, don't sleep and celebrate NYE with your besties! Disco classics and urban & house classics.

• Groningen Telt af
  • Where? Grote Markt on 31/12 from 8:00 PM to 1:30 AM
    
    The Grote Markt in the city center will be the setting for this special Groningen event where thousands of Groningen residents will count down into the new year. This is accompanied by a varied Groningen program and a spectacular projection and light show in a fireworks-free center!
    On December 31 there is a free, varied program with beautiful Groningen singers, rocking bands, Groningen folk music and cabaret on a large stage in between, so there is something for everyone. The 'Groningen Counts Af' event puts Groningen on the map as the place for spectacular events around the New Year.

• Roodkopje NYE
  • Where? Simplon NY from 1am to 6am
    For those who like R&B and urban more than rave parties, this is the place to be! They have three rooms, the 'cozy living rooms', where you can party all night long. Expect a New Year's night full of dance & good vibes on the finest Hiphop, Amapiano, RnB & Afro tracks from then and now.

• The Palace 
  • PALACE is the club in the city center of Groningen! A place where the best crowd comes to socialize, dance and flirt to their favorite music of all time. The club consists of several floors that together form one space. This creates a unique arena effect where the dance floor is the focal point. An atmosphere and experience that you will not encounter anywhere else.
    What to do during New Year's Eve is still a mystery, but keep an eye on their agenda!

  • Where? OOST, oosterstraat 13a from 00.30 to 07.00
    OOST is organizing an evening with more than twenty DJs in three different rooms where you can go wild. The  lower price may be a good thing; If you pay less for a ticket, you will have enough left for drinks ;-)

  • Where? Kopjek from 00.00 to 08.00
    New year, new opportunities and to keep the new in, a new location from which we will dive into 2024 together.
    Because we really like to change every now and then, so that we remain creatively stimulated, we are kicking off 2024 from De Tweezaal where you can continue until the sun rises.
